Here's what you need for your stay in Denver!
A flexible attitude! This will be the key to a positive week. The Urban Education Coordinator will do her best to notify you prior to any changes that may occur, but agency needs, emergencies, schedules, and resources can change at the last minute.
Please be flexible and things will be a lot more fun!
Work Site Dress Code: For the safety of all participants, the dress attire for ALL work sites forbids spaghetti-strap tank tops, tube tops, anything which shows your stomach or bottom (high shirts or low pants), short shorts (including Soffe cheer shorts), or sandals.
Recommended daily attire: denim/ athletic pants or shorts, loose t-shirt, and tennis shoes.
Personal items can be stored at the church throughout the week. However, DenUM and the Urban Education Program are not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Most churches recommend you take your valuables with you and store them under seats or in the trunks of your vehicles. Ipods, smart phones and personal gaming systems should be left at the church or in a vehicle while volunteering to allow youth to focus on the service opportunity.
Important Note: Please be aware that housing churches and service sites typically do not have air-conditioning.
